One-on-One with 993 Restomod Builder BOLT

Stuttcars goes behind the scenes to learn about the market’s latest player

The burgeoning field of Porsche 911 restomods has been propelled by industry leaders such as Singer, Tuthill, and Gunther Werks, whose creations blend classic styling with modern engineering. Their success has inspired growing demand for bespoke interpretations that honor Porsche’s heritage while delivering enhanced performance, craftsmanship, and individuality. As enthusiasm continues to accelerate worldwide, new builders are entering the arena. Which all makes us ask: is there room for more?

Enter BOLT

Having recently completed its 993 project, the answer to that question is a resounding YES! Their car is a 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (993) that underwent a complete restomod involving more than 700 hours of engineering, restoration,   and craftsmanship. The objective was never to change the identity of the 993, but to enhance every aspect of the car while preserving the character of the last air-cooled 911.
