Broad Arrow to Auction Rare Paint-to-Sample 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder

Number 590 of only 918 units produced worldwide

Set to cross the block at Broad Arrow’s Quail Auction on August 14, this 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder represents one of the most distinctive examples of Porsche’s groundbreaking hybrid hypercar. Estimated to sell for $3.25 million to $3.75 million, chassis No. 590 is one of only 918 units produced worldwide and among just 300 examples originally allocated to the U.S. market.

What makes this particular 918 especially desirable is its rare full Paint to Sample (PTS) Grey Black exterior paired with a Leather to Sample white interior accented by gray piping. The car also omits the signature Acid Green trim found on most 918 Spyders, creating a more understated and timeless specification. Factory options include the Front Axle Lift System, Carbon Fiber Interior Package, carbon-fiber mirrors, custom-tailored interior details, and lightweight Weissach magnesium wheels that reduce unsprung weight while enhancing performance.

The 918 Spyder traces its origins to Porsche’s 2010 Geneva concept, which previewed the company’s next-generation hybrid technology inspired by endurance racing. Production models featured a naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V8 derived from motorsport, paired with front and rear electric motors to generate a combined 887 horsepower and 944 lb-ft of torque.

Power is delivered through Porsche’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel-drive system, enabling a factory-rated 0–60 mph time of 2.5 seconds and a 214-mph top speed. During its development, the model also became the first production road car to lap Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife in under seven minutes, cementing its place among the defining hypercars of its era.

This example has covered just 5,635 miles since new and has benefited from consistent maintenance by Niello Porsche, followed by recent servicing and a dealer inspection completed in June 2026 at Porsche San Luis Obispo. Originally delivered through Niello Porsche, it has had only three enthusiast owners and is offered with its original books, window sticker, Porsche Universal Charger, indoor car cover, two keys, and other factory accessories.

With its exceptionally rare “to Sample” specification, documented ownership history, desirable factory equipment, low mileage, and meticulous care, 918 Spyder No. 590 stands out as one of the most collectible and individualized examples of Porsche’s landmark hybrid flagship, offering discerning collectors a unique opportunity to acquire one of the 21st century’s most celebrated performance cars.
