This video reviews the base Porsche 992.1 Carrera 4, focusing on its design, interior, and real-world driving performance. As the entry-level all-wheel-drive 911, it produces 385 horsepower from a twin-turbo flat-six paired with an 8-speed PDK gearbox. The transmission stands out for its quick, smooth shifts and strong responsiveness, especially during overtaking and spirited driving.
Inside, the 992-generation cabin represents a clear step forward from earlier 911s, with improved materials, a large infotainment screen, and a digital gauge cluster centered around the traditional tachometer. However, parts of the outer displays can be hard to see from the driver’s seat. Overall build quality is excellent, and the car remains comfortable even on rough roads thanks to adaptive suspension and supportive seats.
On the road, the Carrera 4 feels stable and confidence-inspiring, particularly in wet conditions thanks to all-wheel drive. Despite weighing over 1,600 kg, it hides its mass well and remains agile through corners. Downsides include noticeable turbo lag at low revs and a somewhat muted exhaust note unless the sport exhaust is engaged.
