This 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder is the only U.S.-delivered example factory-ordered without paint and Nomex lightweight Alcantara bucket seats. It features the sought-after Weissach Package, a $84,000 option that reduces weight by 90 pounds through magnesium wheels, titanium chassis bolts, and lightweight brake components.
Introduced at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show, the 918 Spyder was Porsche’s answer to redefining performance with environmental responsibility. Production was limited to 918 units over 21 months from late 2013 to mid-2015. Powered by a 4.6-liter, 608-horsepower V-8 derived from the RS Spyder prototype and two electric motors—154 horsepower at the rear and 125 at the front—the car delivers a combined 887 horsepower with all-wheel drive.
Performance figures are staggering: 0–60 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph. Despite its power, it achieves a combined 67 mpg, thanks to its plug-in hybrid drivetrain. The car features five driving modes, ranging from full electric to “Hot Lap” for maximum performance.
This example also features a matte black wrap, 20″ and 21″ 918 Spyder magnesium wheels, Burmester high-end surround sound system, dual-zone climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen in the raised center console. The car is currently listed for sale on Bring a Trailer with just 2,900 miles on the odometer.
