The Porsche 968 Sport was introduced exclusively to the UK market in January 1994. Built alongside the lighter Club Sport on the same production line, it shared identical suspension and chassis number sequences. However, the Sport added several comfort features, including central locking, electric windows and mirrors, an electric tailgate release, and occasional rear seats. Black cloth upholstery was standard.
The main distinction between the Club Sport and the Sport lies in usability. The Sport retained the Club Sport’s dynamic setup but featured a larger wiring loom and battery to support its added electrics, along with more comfortable front seats and rear seating, making it better suited to regular road use. In essence, it’s a Club Sport with added conveniences.

While not especially fast, its handling and cornering ability make it rewarding to drive. Lightly modified with an exhaust, ECU chip, and wheels, the 968 Sport has become a rare, characterful track car that he plans to keep long-term, despite cosmetic flaws hidden beneath its distinctive wrap.
