Interesting to know:
Under 4 second acceleration to 100 km/h used to be supercar league... until 997 Turbo came out in 2006. While with the powerful turbocharged cars the problem used to be the turbo lag (timeframe after the press of the gas pedal until the turbos started spinning at full speed), now the Variable Turbine Geometry technology eliminates this problem as the turbos now have moving blades and therefore they act like small or large turbos depending on the engine speed. This leads to an improvement in flexibility and driving pleasure at low speeds.
Together with the Sport Chrono Package Turbo comes the Sport-button. With this you can activate a short-time “overboost” at full throttle. This increases boost pressure in the mid speed range by 0.2 bar for up to 10 seconds and rises torque from 620 to 680 Nm.

What we think:
The proper Porsche has always been with manual gearbox and with sporty black interior. Now add a pair of VTG turbos and bucket seats and you get an ultimate 911. Although we at Sportauto.ee prefer cars in original condition, the GT2 wheels do look better than the luxury-look original Turbo wheels. And luckily this car doesn't have the ugly-looking rear window wiper. With its softer suspension and rear seats there, the Turbo is the better car for everyday use than the GT2. And it is still hair-risingly quick on the race track. This 911 Turbo is the ultimate Porsche with the ultimate configuration.
