Marketplace: 94-mile 993 Turbo S for $2.4M

Oh...did we mention it's listed on Facebook Marketplace?

Background

The 993-generation 911 Turbo S stands is one of the rarest examples of Porsche’s last air-cooled 911. Purportedly, 435 examples were produced, with 183 designated for the North American market in 1997. Ordered through Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur program, the Turbo S features a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine producing 424 horsepower—25 more than the standard Turbo, thanks to upgraded K24 turbochargers. Each car came equipped with the distinctive Aerokit II bodywork and rear spoiler, massive yellow brake calipers, and a unique quad-exhaust setup. Additional details, such as front bumper brake-cooling ducts and a carbon-fiber strut tower brace, further distinguish this sought-after model.

Now available

This particular example is listed through Marshall Goldman Motor Sales in Cleveland, Ohio, and has 94 miles since new. Why it’s also listed on Facebook Marketplace via Leo Dunlevy is unknown. The color-matched Speed Yellow seatbacks are a little much for our taste, but to each his own. Given how rare these cars are, 993 Turbo S values are rather extreme; that said, the near $2.4 million asking price for this car puts it in rarefied air among 911s.
