FOR SALE: 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe by Singer

Known as the “Austin Commission”

Singer Vehicle Design, founded in 2009 by Rob Dickinson, has redefined Porsche 964 restorations. Each project starts with a complete teardown and rebuild, reshaping the 964 into a long-nose, early-911 look with low bumpers and ducktail-style details.

Combined with carbon-fiber construction, precise craftsmanship, and extensive customization, Singer’s work has become the benchmark for high-end Porsche reimaginations, drawing clients from the racing, entertainment, and broader enthusiast communities.

Known as the “Austin Commission,” this example features Singer’s 4.0-liter flat-six engine paired with a G50 five-speed manual transmission. The engine, built by Ed Pink Racing Engines using a 964 block and bespoke internals, delivers 390 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque. Singer reports 0–60 mph in under 3.3 seconds and 0–100 mph in 8.2 seconds.

Finished in paint-to-sample Aubergine Metallic, it rides on Fuchs-style wheels with pastel yellow calipers and white Porsche script. It includes Singer’s larger steel Brembo brakes, Ohlins adjustable suspension, a carbon-fiber roof, and exposed center fuel and oil filler caps in tribute to 1972 models.

The interior is trimmed in Platero leather with leather-weave inserts, Bramante seatback accents, woven-leather dash and panels, and a gray Alcantara headliner. Aubergine Metallic carries onto the tunnel, sills, and rear surfaces. Additional details include square-weave mats, drilled pedals, and Singer’s signature dash badge.

Offered for sale on Bring a Trailer, it shows fewer than 1,700 miles since completion in 2024.
