Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet

This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet was acquired in 2022 as a non-running project by the seller, Porsche Bakersfield in California, and refurbished as part of the 2025 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge.

Work involved repainting the body Riviera Blue, rebuilding and resealing the the 3.6-liter flat-six, refreshing the brakes, mounting Michelin Pilot Sport tires, replacing the exhaust system, retrimming the interior, and fitting a Porsche Classic Communications head unit.

Its six-speed manual transaxle has a limited-slip differential, and the car is further equipped with a power-operated black soft top, 18″ Turbo Twist wheels, power-adjustable front seats, a Hi-Fi sound system, air conditioning, cruise control, and a remote six-disc CD changer.

This 993 Carrera cabriolet is now offered by the selling dealer in California with refurbishment records, a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate, an indoor cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title.
