This 1980 Porsche 911SC coupe was modified under previous ownership with backdated, longhood-style steel bodywork during a build that also included fitting a 1984 Carrera-sourced 3.2-liter flat-six.
The engine was rebuilt before installation, with work that included machining and balancing the internals, overhauling the heads, and fitting Mahle cylinders and 95mm, 10.5:1 JE pistons. The Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle was overhauled, and it is equipped with a limited-slip differential.
Additional details include an early 1970s-style Glacier Blue exterior finish, yellow H4 headlights, 15″ Fuchs-style wheels, Brembo disc brakes, coilover suspension, red vinyl upholstery, sport bucket seats, Haargarn carpeting, a dual RSR-style pedal assembly, and a 901-style dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, and instrumentation.
This backdated 911SC was listed on BaT in August 2025 before it was acquired by the selling dealer, and it is now offered at no reserve in New York with an owner’s manual, a car cover, a tool roll, and a clean Massachusetts title.
