Released for the 2011 model year, the second-generation Cayenne (called 958 internally) was slightly bigger and significantly lighter than its predecessor. It offered a smoother ride thanks to additional technology and luxury features, it was just as capable off-road, and critics agreed it was noticeably sportier than the first-generation model.
It received a facelift for the 2015 model year, and production ended in 2017. Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, rated at 240 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
