Breaking: Singer Carrera Coupe Reveals Pop-Up Driving Lights

Once again, something old is something new

Background

Singer Vehicle Design, founded in 2009 by musician and car enthusiast Rob Dickinson, has redefined the concept of automotive restoration. Based in California, Singer specializes in the meticulous restoration and modification of Porsche 911s, particularly the 964 generation (1989–1994). Their philosophy—“Restored, Reimagined, Reborn”—captures the essence of their mission: to elevate classic Porsche models into bespoke, modern performance machines while honoring their iconic heritage.

Singer’s uniqueness lies in its obsessive attention to detail. Each build starts with a 964 chassis, which is stripped down and meticulously re-engineered using lightweight carbon fiber body panels, modern electronics, and advanced engineering techniques. The result is a car that retains the soul and silhouette of a vintage Porsche while offering cutting-edge performance and luxury.

Design-wise, Singer’s work blends traditional styling with modern refinement. Interiors feature hand-stitched leather, custom gauges, and period-correct materials—crafted with aerospace-level precision. Mechanically, Singer offers naturally aspirated engines developed in collaboration with specialists like Williams Advanced Engineering, delivering extraordinary performance.

Innovative features include upgraded suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and state-of-the-art infotainment discreetly integrated into the classic cabin. With a global reputation and multi-year waitlist, Singer has become the gold standard for reimagined air-cooled 911s.

Pop-up Lights

But weight…there’s more. As of less than 24 hours ago, Singer has released a video highlighting their new Carrera Coupe with Sport interior. Only that’s not the newest hype surrounding this retro-rocket. Check out the pop-up lights reminiscent of the endurance racing 911s from the 1970s and later 1980s (935s). Once again, the team from SoCal continues to surprise us with refreshing modern styling cues that recall earlier chapters in Porsche’s legacy.
