A Singer Classic Study with only 324 Miles Heads to Auction

One of approximately 400 Classic Study examples produced

Perhaps no company has honored the legacy of the air-cooled Porsche 911 with the same obsessive precision as California-based Singer Vehicle Design. Founded in Los Angeles in 2009, Singer has earned a global reputation for bespoke restorations carried out entirely on behalf of individual owners, each one reimagined rather than simply rebuilt.

Known as “The Munich Commission,” this 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is part of Singer’s coveted Classic Study series, a limited run that combines timeless design with exceptional craftsmanship and luxury. Power comes from a Porsche Racing Development–built, air-cooled 4.0-liter flat-six featuring RS camshafts, a MoTeC ECU and custom tune, and a ceramic-coated exhaust.

A six-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential deliver power to the rear wheels, while Brembo disc brakes with Singer Racing Red calipers provide stopping force. The seam-welded body incorporates a carbon-fiber roof and is finished in Canopus Pearl, accented by gloss Singer Racing Red graphics and protected by clear film on the lower rockers and rear fender fins.

Inside, Classic Scarletti leather seats with brass grommets and carbon-fiber seat structures set the tone, joined by details such as a Prototipo steering wheel, piano-black shift knob, drilled footboards, brass decklid badging, a roll hoop, air conditioning, and one-piece wheels with RSR centers.

This 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe reimagined as a Singer Classic Study is scheduled to cross the block at Mecum’s Kissimmee 2026 auction on January 17. The car will be offered with an estimated value between $1.4 million and $1.6 million, reflecting both its exceptional condition and its standing among the most desirable air-cooled 911 reinterpretations ever produced.
