FOR SALE: 2016 Porsche 911 R

Classified Details

Vehicle Details

Limited to 991 units, the 2016 Porsche 911 R is celebrated as a purist icon, combining the GT3 RS’s 500-HP 4.0-liter flat-six with a lighter, wingless body, a mandatory 6-speed manual transmission, and retro styling cues from the original 1967 Porsche 911 R homologation special. This example is finished in White with red stripes over a black and Tarpan Brown leather interior with Pepita houndstooth-trimmed bucket seats. Presented in its debut color combination and equipped with an optional single-mass flywheel, this highly collectible 911 R is now being offered for auction out of Florida with just over 1k miles on the odometer.

Sharing most of its bodywork with the contemporary 991 GT3, the 911 R differs with a carbon fiber hood and magnesium roof from the GT3 RS, lightweight carbon fiber front fenders, plastic rear and side windows, a retractable rear spoiler, and an aluminum decklid grille. This example is finished in White with red top stripes and black Porsche script side decals. Equipment includes optional LED headlights in black with PDLS+, LED taillights and daytime running lights, a model-specific front lip spoiler, side skirts, dual center-mounted tailpipes in black, yellow ceramic brake calipers, and silver 20” GT3 alloy wheels with center-locking hubs and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The seller indicates that the full exterior is preserved by clear paint protection film. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The black leather interior showcases deviated GT Silver stitching and door pull straps, carbon fiber trim pieces, and Tarpan Brown leather bucket seats with Pepita houndstooth cloth centers. The 911 R features retro-inspired instrumental dials with green markings, a 360mm three-spoke Sport steering wheel, 911 R-embroidered headrests, illuminated carbon fiber door sills, and a numbered limitation badge mounted above the glovebox. This example is also equipped with optional automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and a luggage net in the passenger footwell.

Rated at 500 HP and 338 lb-ft of torque, the GT3 RS-derived 4.0-liter flat-six engine features titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, a dry-sump lubrication system, and individual throttle bodies. It delivers power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential and an optional single-mass flywheel. Standard equipment includes Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Rear Axle Steering, and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). The CARFAX report shows that a service was completed at Porsche Palm Springs in September 2025.

The seller would like you to know: “This is basically a brand new single-mass flywheel with carbon bucket seats R. A very rare example comes with full PPF on the whole car, only about 200 single-mass flywheel Rs were produced for the U.S. market, don’t miss your chance as the values will only appreciate on this limited collector example!”
