Vehicle Details
Part of an esteemed lineage that pays tribute to the original Porsche 356 Speedster of the 1950s, the 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster is based on the contemporary 997.2 Carrera GTS, featuring unique open-top bodywork with a double-hump rear deck cover. It came standard with special two-tone leather upholstery, 19” SportClassic wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Sport Chrono Package Plus, and a 402-horsepower 3.8-liter flat-six engine mated to a 7-speed PDK transmission. One of 356 examples produced in total, this 911 Speedster is finished in the model’s debut color combination of Pure Blue over a Black and Pure Blue leather interior. It was originally sold by New Country Porsche of Greenwich, Connecticut, and remained with its original owner until the seller’s purchase in 2021. Showing less than 10k miles on the odometer, this rare 997.2 Speedster is now being offered for auction out of California.
Keeping tradition with previous 911 Speedster models, the 997.2 version is characterized by a shortened black windscreen frame and a double-hump rear deck cover that conceals the folding convertible roof. The car features 44mm-widened rear bodywork from the GTS, front fenders and bumper covers from the 911 SportClassic, GT2-style rocker panels, and black-framed bi-xenon headlights. This example is finished in Pure Blue, a special color that was developed exclusively for the 911 Speedster. Equipment includes LED taillights and daytime running lights, a folding black convertible soft top, heated power mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, black stone guard decals, yellow ceramic brake calipers, and Fuchs-inspired 19” SportClassic alloy wheels. The seller indicates the exterior is in very good overall condition, and aftermarket stainless-steel front grille guards have been installed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Crafted by Porsche Exclusive, the cabin features extended Black leather upholstery with contrasting Pure Blue outer seat bolsters, embroidered headrests, checkerboard center seat stripes, deviated stitching, and leather trim pieces. Other unique details include black stainless-steel door sill guards with an individual production number, leather floor mat edges with deviated stitching, and a three-spoke SportDesign steering wheel with a Pure Blue top center marking, a serialized dashboard plaque, an aluminum-trimmed gear selector, and an aluminum handbrake cover with “Speedster” lettering inlaid in black ceramic. The car also features heated Adaptive Sports Seats, aluminum shift paddles, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, Bose Surround Sound System, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and an optional fire extinguisher.
Shared with the contemporary Carrera GTS, the Speedster’s naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine is rated at 408 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transaxle. Standard performance features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Sport Chrono Package Plus, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). The seller indicates routine maintenance has been kept up to date, and the CARFAX shows the most recent service was completed at Rusnak Porsche in May 2025.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire inflator, a battery trickle charger, a custom car cover, and a clean title.
