This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe was acquired by Porsche South Orlando in Florida to be entered in the Individualization category of the 2023 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge. The refurbishment theme was described as an “RS Clubsport with a GT2 widebody” and work included deleting the sunroof, refinishing the car in Riviera Blue, and adding RSR-style bodywork.
A replacement 3.6-liter flat-six was fitted, the six-speed manual transaxle was rebuilt, and the interior was refreshed in black leather and Alcantara upholstery with red contrast stitching and multiple 993 Carrera RS-style elements. Additional equipment includes 18″ HRE wheels, 993 Turbo brakes, and RS suspension components in addition to power-adjustable front seats, a Porsche Classic MOMO steering wheel, cruise control, PCCM infotainment, power windows and locks, and air conditioning.
The car was a regional Restoration Challenge winner, advancing to the final competition at Rennsport Reunion 7, and it was purchased by its current owner in 2024. This modified 993 Carrera coupe is now offered by the seller on behalf of its owner with a Carfax report and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
