1981 Porsche 924 Carerra GT

This Porsche 924 Carrera GT is a very special vehicle. Only 406 of this model were built. Six of these were prototypes, 200 were exported, and 200 remained in Germany. Based on the chassis number, we were able to determine that our 924 Carrera GT was the last 4th Carrera GT built to roll off the production line. 

The 924 Carrera GT was available in only three colors at the time:
– Guards Red (L31B)
– Black Metallic (L041)
– Diamond Silver Metallic (L97A)

Our vehicle was delivered in black metallic , which is very rare, as the majority of 924 Carrera GTs were delivered in red.

This vehicle was ordered in the summer of 1980 by the first owner, a furniture dealer from Urach, from the Max Moritz car dealership in Reutlingen and was first registered on March 30, 1981. The vehicle was delivered with very interesting extras such as a limited-slip differential, 16″ forged wheels, tinted glass, a removable Targa roof, a 4-spoke sports steering wheel, a passenger-side exterior mirror, and without paint or chrome preservation. The corresponding new car invoice is available. Before delivery, a Konisport suspension, a boost pressure gauge, and a roll bar were installed on the 924 GT by Max Moritz. The invoice for this work from the Max Moritz dealership, dated March 13, 1981, is also available. The first owner kept the Porsche only until May 19, 1983, when he sold it to the second owner in the neighborhood, also a gentleman from near Reutlingen, with a mileage of 28,000 km. After a few years, the vehicle was taken out of service and remained in a deep sleep until 2016. In 2016, the 924 was carefully brought back to life. This work is well documented by invoices totaling approximately EUR 15,000. The Carrera GT has been in the hands of collectors since 2016, and we are now offering it for sale.
